Monsters Costume

- How ridculous is this?!? No witch/monster/frankenstein/vampire/ghost costumes alloweed in school!?
I just got the memo and apparently they're too scary. "Students who do not comply with the new costume policy will continue academic instruction in the library with the school librarian" They also advice parents to keep the costumes "simple" because students will have to change to their college attire. (I swear it says college, I'm starting to think the person who wrote this is an idiot lol) The parade is for students only and parents are not invited until the afterschool parade, how do the expect a bunch of kids to be able to take off costumes that are pretty difficult to put on in the first place? My daughter IS going to be a witch. Now for a PQ - Suppose you bought your kid one of the above costumes before you got the memo, what would you do? A. Try to exchange it for something they can wear? (can't change my daughters, we made it) B. Buy a new one. C.Send them to school with their original costume and take the risk of them being sent to the library D. Call the school principal and give her a piece of your mind E. Other Pdooma it isn't a "personal political point with the school" really it's not. I will have to go out and buy one if I need too. My 6 year old has spent hours tying yard after yard of tulle to make the "prettiest" witch costume for the school parade. All for nothing.

A I think I would call the school and complain. I think it's far more offensive to have a child dressed up in something obscene than it is to have a child dressed up in something "scary". A six year old dressing up as Hannah Montana in a mini skirt, half a top and two pounds of make up to me is far more offensive to me than a kid in a scary witch costume. I think that I would call the teacher and let her know that the costume was home made and that it was made months ago and if they were going to restrict costumes it should have been done far more than a week in advance. And while you don't want your child excluded from the festivities...it appears she will be either way...NO costume at all...or with a costume that will get her booted. In either case, the memo came far too late and an exception needs to be made because of their lack of timing and consideration. FIRST D. I would call and talk to someone SECOND A.If that didn't appear to do any good, I might try to modify the costume so that it's in compliance. THIRD E. Name it something else and get them on a technicality? ex - "It's not a witch, it's a sorceress costume" "I'm dressed up as a Mother In Law" "This isn't a witch costume, I'm a school Principal"

im i love the monster high dolls i think there cool but i would like to know what the costumes all look like not just the vampire one that i saw on the halloween costumes i want to see how to look like the lagoona girl the werewolf the mummy and her boyfriend with the snakes on his head and that zombie girl that cant talk can u send me a link with the hallloween monster high costumes
