Monsters Costume

- What can we do wth Buddhist dance mask (skeleton face). Some1 gifted me, is it good omen to keep in house?
It is a blue coloured mask of metal/ alloy with three red eyes and 5 skeletons near forehead and swaying/ burning hair. I dont know if its to be kept at home or not? If yes, which direction? Does it bring goodluck. I seriously need luck and cant afford to keep anything at home which is acting the other way round, please guide me Buddhist friends.

A Yes it is from Tibetan Buddhism Many years ago when I first came to Buddhism I was building a Shrine Room and was completely ignorant as how I should furnished it I was also influenced by a suppliers excellent marketing skills wrongly believing I needed this and I needed that and it wouldn't be complete without this For two years !! There was hardly any room left for me My life turned upside down and I was going from one calamity to another Finally I got wise to it all and most of the iconography from this individual and others is a the bottom of a major river in the UK I took a boat trip and in midstream the lot went over the stern and may it stay down there These days in my Shrine Room there are very plain Rupas of the Buddha it is dedicated to If I was in your shoes I would get rid but it is up to you

I know it was either DBZ or DBGT... But it was in the City and Goku, Gohan, Veg, and I think Turnks (maybe more) were fighting this giant monster with a tail, it had a skull face, and could move just as fast as them or even faster i think. I want to know the name/ep or movie it was from.

- Wanting to Make Monster Masks?
Hello Everyone! I am looking to make monster masks, but before I check out any videos or books, I wanted to see if there was anyone in the Central Pennsylvania area that knows how to work with clay and latex and make some real looking monster masks. I would be willing to pay for lessons if you could possibly teach me.

A I am not in your area but I am a masker. Before launching into clay why not try paper mache'. If you construct a wire form and build layered paper mache' onto it you can mold it into any shape you like to produce the desired effect. Once dry it can be embellished as you wish. If you wish to wear these masks be sure your wire form larger than your face since paper mache will shrink. When you are comfortable with this medium it will be easier to work with clay. You can also purchase a plastic mask form and use it to build upon then peel off your completed mask, using either medium. Latex takes a great deal of drying time between applications.

- Creative interpretation\costume idea for myth monster Scylla?
For a Latin project I've been assigned the monster Scylla and I have to make a costume for her, our teacher said the costume could be more of an interpretation, or symbolic of our monster. Scylla has 12 feet, 7 necks with horrible heads with three rows of teeth and the bottom half of her body is made of vicious dogs. Any ideas for something I could do? ANYTHING will help, I'm not very creative.

- How to make a EASY Cookie Monster costume?
Okay, I think I got myself in a pickle. I told my almost 3yr old twins they could be Cookie Monster for Halloween, but I have no idea how to make a Cookie Monster costume. My idea was to buy blue felt and glue it on on to their footed pajamas but found it was as easy as I thought. Any easy suggestions? Should be "wasn't as easy as I thought."

A Get a blue shirt and blue shorts. On the front of the shirt draw a face with sharpie and on the back draw a bunch of cookies! Good idea i'm being an alien and i made my own costume. I do lots of d-i-y!

- Is it normal for little kids NOT to be scared of a horror mask?
Now, I have seen - OH SO MANY - mean people, put on a fright mask and make their kids cry, scream or run in terror. So why, when these nasty people do it to my little ones, does this not happen? Joke's on them, my kids just smile and try to wear the mask themselves. One is 16mo and the other is 3yrs. Is umm, is this normal? No snide remarks thx.

A Its not really normal but a good thing. They are just a bit braver then most kids.

- How to make a large Halloween mask fit?
I ordered a pretty cool mask online and I really like it. It's just only made in one size, it's a little big, but part of the reason it's a frankenstein, so the headshape is different than normal. I was thinking about stuffing the mask with something or maybe wearing something else inside it that will kind of fill the mask out and maybe tie the back of the mask together or something, so it looks better. Any suggestions?

We have a fancy dress party to go to in February, and my husband and son want to go as Dr. Evil and Mini Me! The problem is that although I can find a costume for my husband, I can't find anything for my 10 year old son! I'm no seamstress and would struggle to make my son a costume. Does anyone know where I can get a child's Dr. Evil / Mini Me costume? Better still is there anyone out there who has one they would like to sell?

A Well, you might be able to get a local tailor to take on the project. It might not be as expensive as you think. Another idea is to get another adult Dr. Evil suit, and have the tailor do alteration It should be a relatively simple matter of hemming the pants (get a really good belt, though!), and hemming the sleeves -- and taking in the back seam. The collar would be kind of a pain, but it's a mandarin collar, isn't it? If your son was 5, it'd be a lot harder to alter, but at 10, the kid is probably big enough to make it worth considering. - Any advice on a first timer in Las Vegas for Halloween?
Got the airfare and hotels already booked, staying at Circus Circus. Flying in from Denver, leave there at 815am on a Thursday. Friday is Halloween and I already have a kickass Dr. Evil costume. I leave Sunday at 630pm local time. My question is this. What are some great things to do in Vegas on the cheap, outside of gambling... for example, I am going to the shark reef. $20 for 4 hours of walking around, works for me. What places should I hit up, see, do, whatever... also, it's my first time in Vegas and I am well over 21. So, skies the limit. I will add this too... no, not making a trip to the Bunny Ranch. Or the Chicken Ranch or any other ranch for that matter...

A There is lots you can do on a budget. Across the street from the Monte Carlo hotel is a giant Coca Cola store, and a M & M store. The M & M store has a fun 3D movie that is totally free. And if you want to go off the strip you can check out the Ethel M chocolate factory tour for free (link below), They also have a cactus garden. Hotel lobbies are fun, and many have cool things to see like the lions at the MGM. Many roller coasters too including the Saraha, New York, New York, Stratosphere, as well as Circus Circus (which is a whole world itself with many free shows every hour or so). Look for cheap tickets for the Tournament of Kings dinner show at the Excalibur. Really cool and interactive. When you check into the hotel ask the concierge of anything special for Halloween. My husband was there two years ago for Halloween and said it was decorated cool. They also have a haunted Vegas ghost tour.
